SNAP-authorized stores, store by store
Type a store name. 249,063 stores authorized on Dec 31, 2025, and 412,393 that left the program since 2005, with their dates.
Leasing, buying or supplying a store? A dated SNAP authorization report ($19) — or a whole territory, with the stores that opened and closed.
What this is
The USDA publishes every store authorized to accept SNAP benefits (food stamps, paid by EBT card) over the past twenty years. The official tool is a map of the stores authorized today. This site gives every store a record you can find and cite: its type, each period it was authorized, and — what the map does not show — the stores that were authorized before it at the same address.
Who uses it
- Landlords, brokers and buyers — whether a store is authorized, since when, and who held the address before.
- Suppliers, distributors and payment providers — the stores that joined the program in a territory.
- Researchers and local organizations — food access, city by city.
What it is not
Not the USDA, and not a live map: the file stops on Dec 31, 2025. The file gives dates and never a reason — an authorization that ended is not a penalty. How to read the records.
